From TV Guide:

The Middleman: The Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse — not much hyperbole there! — will be penned by executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach (the auteur of the Viper Comics Graphic Novels on which the TV series was based) and Hans Beimler, with illustrations by Armando M. Zanker and layouts by Les McClaine. This collector's item will be released in July 2009, to coincide with the San Diego Comic Con.

So, wait, the DVDs are supposed to come out in time for SDCC, right? Which means we won't see the DVDs until July? Because I was really hoping to buy those for me the Scientist for his birthday at the end of June...

Also, do you have any idea if they're going to do another printing of The Middleman: The Collected Series Indispensability? Because I have money to throw at it, but it seems to be out of print everywhere. :(

The way I see it, it's every telly fan's dream come true, getting to finally "see" a story that had to be cut from a season. And comics means it'll have a limitless budget to totally melt our brains with awesomeness.

I wish that instead of a comic book wrap up of canceled show more would do a radio show in the vein of what they do at Big Finish. So many shows that get canceled do the comic book thing these days and I just can't get into them because of the art. An audio drama would be so much more fun. Just have it in the actors contracts something to the effect of "If the show gets prematurely canceled you have to do a wrap up audio drama." There, that was easy.
