and lo, there was geekage.

The last time I re-read Emma Bull's War for the Oaks, I had fun mentally "casting" a live-action film version. So clearly, Allison Mack would play Eddi, Jason Mamoa the Puca, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers Willy Silver, if fandom were in charge of the universe. I started playing with this wallpaper almost a year ago, and to blow off steam, finished it up tonight.

If you've never read it, I highly recommend checking it out. Along with Terri Windling's Bordertown series, and Charles de Lint's Newford series, it's one of the Grandmothers of the whole urban fantasy genre.

Eeeee, I love that book! Though I would actually love Naveen Andrews (Sayid on Lost) as the Phouka. :DDD

When I first read it, I think Michael Praed was my Willy Silder. I can't rememebr who mu Puca was, tho. But I concur, re: Naveen.
