So last night researchgrrrl and I watched the pilot and ep 1 of Flash Gordon and episode 1 OWNS MY SOUL. Seriously. Yes, Princess Aura is a complete waste of skin, and their Ming doesn't have a single drop of charisma or talent. I've seen one-off SG-1 baddies with more chops, and that saddens me. But EJ and Gina Holden spent an entire act tied together with packing twine. And honestly, sometimes that's all a girl needs. MADE OF WIN, people. MADE OF WIN. I am so glad the bounty hunter chick is here to stay. Seriously. She cracks me up. And EJ is so adorable, my head may explode.

Clearly, I need a FG icon.

In other news, Eureka continues to deliver week after week, tho clearly last night's ep would have been 1000x better had Danny Strong been available to play Grampa Fargo, since I was picturing him from the second Jane Espensen's name came onscreen. But I love that Thania St John & Co. are pretty much removing the need for any of us to write fanfic by doing it themselves week after week, with the incredibly strong focus on characters and relationships, with fun new interpretations of the story dice plots we love. It's like crack. Seriously.
