Please tell me something nice. About me and my stuff, or the weather where you live, or your fave song you think I should hear, or anything at all.

Just... needing some cheering up.

I look forward to meeting you in person very much when the opportunity presents itself. :D Your FF fic continues to be my favorite in that fandom, too.

What kind of music usually rocks your world?

I met a young man at a party this weekend who had a small role in Pirates 3. He played a British Navy officer. All he told me when I jumped up and said DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING OMG EEEE was that he died three times. O.O

*pets you*

You know, yours is one of the sanest voiced in fandom I've run across, and I love reading your comments on things, because I frequently get a perspective I didn't have before. Also, you're cute ;).

I still think very fondly of the few hours we spent on the steps waiting for the Neil signing, where I first met you. And where we discovered we had the same camera. And then when I saw you in the movie theater for Mirrormask, and I met your mom. ^_^

I think you're nifty and cool. Even though I haven't seen you since BRF, I still read your live journal just to see how you're doing because you're so nifty and cool. I also like your taste in tv shows.
The weather where I live is the same as yours (unless you've moved somewhere delightful and never mentioned it) so it is not very cheerful.
My favorite song is uhm...return to pooh corner, but I'm currently biased and it changes every few minutes. Now it's (I am in love with the) McDonald's Girl by Dean Friedman.

I'm sick and cranky myself, so I suck in the cheering up department, but I can suggest that I like losing myself in free live music, such as from the Live Music Archive.

Today's suggestion is Andrew Bird

There are silly links to fic and cartoons in my LJ.

What's up? Consider this asking about yourself and your stuff.

I had been a fan of your fiction for a while (quietly, though...I'm terrible about commenting) before noticing you were on my 'friend of' list one day. I don't, for a second, regret adding you to my friends list. I may not comment often, but I do read your entries (including personal-type ones and some of the ones for fandoms I know nothing about) and I kind of think it would be keen to get to know you better. You just seem like My Kind of People, you know?

Your ninth Doctor is the best I've read.

The weather here is gloriously sunny and warm enough to go outside in just long sleeves for the first time in months.

The song that almost never fails to make me happy is Nevernding story by Limahl.

And the video that never fails to make me feel better is Raspberry Beret by Prince.

I'm always amazed and impressed by your contributions to fandom - as an author, as a website owner/creator/updater/awesome-maker, and as an intelligent, balanced fan who can still fall hard in love after decades of fannishness (I hope to keep that as I grow up).

You and the other Chicago fangirls are the reason I'm already looking at grad schools in the area. And I mean that in a totally non-stalkery fashion. Really.

Your Jake 2.0 fic inspired me to spend two weeks torrenting the complete series just so I could see the unaired episodes, and then I did it again when my sister broke our external harddrive. So thank you for that! My life would have been less without the kiss in Get Foley.

Your apartment fills me with a kind of fannish glee that can not be textually rendered. I want mine to look like that some day.

You have always appeared to me to be not only incredibly talented in graphics and web design, but also a brilliant writer. Your Firefly fic, for example ranks top of anything I have recommended to people to read, and is seamless with canon, and I enjoy reading your thoughts and commentary in this journal.

Other good things: It's finally warmer here in Colorado, and the sun is out.

Once, when I was four, I decided that I really wanted to go swimming. Now, I was four, and while I'd had some The Man sponsored weekidlet swimmy classes at the local pool (I'm still stunned that my mom stuck me on a bus with 20 other kids when I was four to drive 20 miles to the local pool, but that's another story entirely) I really was, y'know. Four.

So, having made this decision, I thought back to earlier in the summer when The Mother and The Mother's friend, Mother's Friend, took me and Mother's Friend's son skinny dipping in the local creek. Mind you, they took us a long way upstream in said creek because the bit near us was full of holes and sinky bits and it was downriver of an open cow pasture. This, however, did not register to my four year old brain and I was all "Hey! That's a good idea!"

So, I stripped down completely except for a pair of sneakers and a headband (we lived on gravel and my hair was a bit longish that year) and set off down the road towards the creek.

Luckily, The Mother watched me walk by the driveway, probably incredulous at that point, and was able to snag me before I made the bend in the road.

We'll just say she was greatful. ;)

I think you are completely faboo, and it was such a surprise and the happy that you came up for my birthday.

We have a lot in common in fandom, though you far outpace me, but I always read your entries because I know I'll find something new that I'll probably like. And while I never got into the writing of fic, I often read what you've done or what you've recc'd, and I've really never been let down by it. You have a gift for character voices.

I've been listening to Sting's Songs from the Labyrinth which is very calm-inducing, and in small ways makes me giggle because it has spoken word elements which are excerpts of a letter to Bobby Cecil.

And I feel like a complete idiot because I forgot to give you the EZ tapes I recorded for you. /bonks self.

Much Love during this tough time. Oh, and you give really good hugs, so ... hugs for you back.

First? My son, who has recently been indulging in a lot of pre-teen attitude and grumpiness, has nevertheless been learning algebra. And for reasons that I can't clearly explain, that is adorable. Just as cute, in it's way, as a baby smiling when she sees you, or a toddler running for the joy of it because she just learned how.

Second, you impress me. When my enthusiasm (heck when my patience) for fandom was at a low ebb, your enthusiasm reminded me why I came and why I stayed. Thank you for that.

You have this awesome ability to know and be known by EVRYBODY. I can't believe the number of times I've stumbled on people I know/used to know/had forgotten from various corners of my life just to find out they've interacted with you in person/online/at cons. You're ubiquitous!
