aside, in the middle of the work day...
I bet everyone on the planet $5 that before the end of this year, someone will have written POTC/Temeraire cross-over fanfic in which Norrington and Jack Sparrow are aviators, and the Pearl is Jack's dragon.

It will certainly not be me, mind you. But I bet a fangirl somewhere is plotting as I type. No lie. And there will be FANART, even.

Why yes, I am reading book 3.

ETA: Book 1 also meets with the approval of The Jill. woo!

Personally, I'm trying to not write a Temeraire/SGA fusion. The temptation is almost overwhelming. Thank God I'm so lazy.

There was this great post somewhere-- I think on the original Temeraire fan community-- where someone was like, *dead seriously*--

"Where is the Smallville/Temeraire amalgam story? Because, Lex would obviously be Clark's rider, and then clearly, the special ability of a Kryptonian dragon is to turn into a human, so they could have sex! I can't believe I'm the first one to think of this, so where is it?"

I actually didn't think it was THAT disturbing (any more than, say, werewolf/human sex) -- I just thought it was hilarious that it was presented as The Obvious Conclusion. *G*
