Okay, so the Story Dice Challenge is pretty slow going...

But ever since I first heard Sports Night was coming out on DVD, I've been mighty tempted to do a Sports Night title challenge for Smallville, along the lines of Livia's X-Files challenge... what do you all think? Think it could be fun?

Write a story, minimum 1000 words, based on a title from above. You don't need to have seen Sports Night to partake in the challenge. Just pick a title that spraks your imagination, and leave a comment with the link and I'll throw it up on a web page at the SVFFR!</lj-cu

I think it's a great idea for a challenge, but it'd be hard to write it without thinking of what actually happened in the given SN episode!!

*ponder* Obviously Lex is Danny, and Clark is Casey. That much is clear. Does that mean Dana is Lana? Suck! I LIKE Dana! ;)

Maybe Dana is Chloe. Yeah. Natalie and Jeremy are Lana and Whitney. :)

Chloe is *definitely* Dana. First Season Dana, before she was, you know, replaced by a pod person. And not quite as neurotic...

Hmmm... would that mean Martha Kent = Isaac Jaffy?

In the challenge, does the story have to be like the show? Cuz I watched re-runs of this show, late on comedy central, but couldn't really remembre what they were about.

Or is it going to just be where we use a title for a SV story?

Nope, doesn't have to mirror the SN eps at all. Like the faboo XF and Bradbury challenges, it can be solely about the title.

Alrighty! I like the challenges. That's how I write, I take an opening sentence or something I like for at title and write, rather than plot or anything. Sometimes I base an entire story around one line.

I always saw Isaac as the kindly parental figure with a core of steel for all the over-grown children at CSC--hence Martha. Tho if there were a stern parent, I supposed Bo Duke would be JJ....

Some of the SN titles even seem like they could have been SV episode titles, like "The Hungry and the Hunted" and "The Head Coach, Dinner and the Morning Mail." *g* I'd like to participate in this; I'll see what I can come up with!
