From io9:
In the last two episodes of the season, the Middleman TV show diverges from the comic in a serious way for the first time. Even though the final two episodes feature Manservant Neville, who's also in volume three of the comic, the storylines will be different. Also, we won't get to find out why/how the Middleman became the clean-living man he is today. That would have been the subject of the 13th. episode of the season, which got canceled to free up money to show the awesome parallel world in the 12th (and now final) episode.

I'm actually bummed we don't get to see the Middleman's origin story, but it will make a great season 2 opener.

And on that note, have you sent your favourite basic cable station chocolate-y treats lately?

I got the TPB...there seems to be 3 stories...Mafia Monkeys, Unlawful Luchadores, and the last one I haven't read enough of yet to make a funny alliterate name for.

Are there other stories not in the book? This line "In the last two episodes of the season, the Middleman TV show diverges from the comic in a serious way for the first time. " seems to be false, given that all the other episodes aren't comics either.
