The "Forever Knight" and "Blood Ties" ref totally killed me. I MUST KNOW WHAT 3RD MYSTERY CANADIAN SYNDICATED SHOW WAS OMG. It can't be "Dracula: The Series" as a) Lucard was the baddie and so not a cop/inevstigator and b) shot in Europe. Also, "Nick Knight" pilot with Rick Springfield, also shot in L.A. And "Moonlight" was neither Canadian, nor syndicated.

*FLAIL*

EMETA: mystery solved. nothing to see here, folks. move along.

Also, OMG MIDDLEMAN/LACEY!

OMG MIDDLEMAN/MYSTERY WOMAN.

OMG HOW HAWT ARE WENDY'S NEW MIDDLECLOTHES? SERIOUSLY.

And lastly, OH NOSER ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.

ETA: Seriously, my Middleman/Lacey little 'shipper heart is on the verge of exploding. Also, I totally love the way Wendy and Lacey tease each other. Because the whole "The 7th Grade called..." thing was so 100% on the money for my particular group of friends.

Also, love the Art Department's new "Bitten by _________" cover. I wonder if/when we get a werewolf/werebunny/werecatus ep, we'll get cover #3.

And yay Former Crossing Jordan Castmember Awesome Nigel! I've missed him. Nigel and Bug were totally the reasons I watched that show. Okay, and Miguel Ferrer (for whom even Bionic Woman could not dim my love and enthusiasm). MY LOVE IS PURE.

Still coming up empty, tho, due to all-important Canada factor, coupled with syndication...

(tho to be fair, FK started on CBS, then whent to syndication, then went to USA Network, while BT was Lifetime, nto first-run syndication)

I wonder if she considers War of the Worlds vampiric, IIRC, they were after blood.

I'm iffy on Blade being included in that listing -- there was a recurring police detective character, but you can't really call it a detective show. Of the leads, I guess you could say Krista started out as an amateur detective, trying to get to the bottom of her brother's death. After the pilot, though, she really functioned more as an undercover agent.

It was, however, Canadian. And on basic cable (Spike), which is pretty much the new first-run syndication (my handwave for BT).

Was the 90s version of Dark Shadows a Canadian production?

Nope. Los Angeles all the way. And Moonlight was CBS, shooting in Santa Monica.

But all is well. themiddleblog has admitted that Wendy is simply geekier than ALL OF US and is posessed of seekrit knowledge.

In other worse, it is definitely an FK and BT ref. There Is No Third Series except inside my mind.

And andpuff's. In the Smoke books, Tony is a PA on Darkest Night, "the highest-rated syndicated vampire detective show in Canada." (This despite the fact that, due to the uneven airing patterns and her location in the country, Tanya has in fact never seen a single ep of FK.)

Does this make me as geeky as Wendy? *bats eyelashes*

So was Vampire High, but also not a detective series.

Thanks for reminding me about Miguel being on CJ. I was wondering last night why the 'Twin Peaks' reference. It was an Albert line...

So, so awesome. I'm hunting for a screencap of Wendy at the auction during her "How d'ya like me now?" moment. Come on, abcfamily, don't stop distributing episode promo shots now!

Also, I totally love the way Wendy and Lacey tease each other.

Agreed, I love this dynamic.

Indeed. I used to watch Crossing Jordon with my mum all the while lamenting why, Miguel Ferrer, why you gotta do this to me?
